Biometric safe locks

Local police departments are warning that a lot of major manufacturers are doing recalls on safes with these locks. Heck , I was not even aware that your gun safe could scan your finger print to open the lock. Sorry I don't have any detail info on this problem Mfg/Ser# etc.
Personally I would not want to go thru any safe lock to get to a loaded self defense weapon but that's just me.------------------------------Ray

I Always got a laugh
Some one breaks in then you have to ask ?
Oh pardon me as i follow the law i need time to open my safe to get my gun and load it to defend my self if you can give me a moment please
I have heard that they fail quite often
I can imagine. It often takes me more than one try to get into my Galaxy phone with that feature.
All my guns come equipped with a biometric lock. They don't go bang until my finger pulls the trigger. I figure that's safe enough for me.

My IPhone worked for about a month. Now it takes less time to punch in the numbers.
No safe for Somerville I might need at a moment’s notice.

99% of my guns are in the safes and they have good old fashioned dependable locks. The 1% not in the safes will be sufficient if the need should ever arise. I can see where homes with kids and their friends coming and going constantly might need a fast access means of securing weapons but fast and dependable can be hard to find. Bob
My night table works effortlessly every single time. Only thing between me and my firearm is air.
Those I might need in a hurry are available. The rest are in safes with dial locks (which my wife simply cannot figure out how to operate.)
I gave you a like for that but wanted to give an LOL as well! Bob
@Kevin_L That’s the most down to earth perfect answer that describes it perfectly. I’ve had people tell me that guns are dangerous, I tell them that’s good, they wouldn’t be worth a dam if they weren’t.
I took care of the LOL for you .........................
Thank you both. It's actually funny to watch her try.
There are seven loaded guns in my house. you don't want to find out where.
My safe (pre-cave in to government Liberty) came with the electronic keypad and said that I will buy if you swap out for the tried and true dial.
