Change at Boeing

The CEO of Boeing has resigned. They have some real problems in the last five years. I have a sneaky suspension they need to make some big changes top to bottom.

They have WAY more issues than just the top man! Given the recent events involving the whistle blower, I have to wonder how much stock the Clinton's own in Boeing.
Just sayin'
I'm supervised they're still building those sky bricks. I reckon the "right" people are getting paid.
It goes back to when Boeing "bought" McDonell Douglas, but put the MacDac honchos in charge of Boeing. The corporate mindset went from engineering excellence to bean-counter pinch-penny. That led to sub-contracting instead of in-house manufacturing, and other major mistakes. Then came the 787 fiasco, which cost them billions when instead of building planes 40% cheaper, they actually cost more than double. Finally, they went down the DEI route and proved that woke is broke.
Sadly, it will cost them billions to go back to the pre-MacDac Boeing - billions they simply don't have and probably can't get.
Both sisters worked for Boeing years ago.
They used stock options and when they left sold the stocks for a big gain. Enough to build custom homes in Colorado.
My Mom kept her stocks and past it on to us, Did great for a few years, But has lost $ 150. per share in the last 4 years (ouch). Just forgot they were in the stuff , and now I'm stuck waiting to ride it out to get out at a decent price.
Not a lot but enough to have some good spending $$$$. Think I'll wait couple of years in may go up a few bucks?
The 737 problems started the downward spiral.
No, it started years before that.
The fascinating thing is that at this moment in time, far more Boeing commercial aircraft have taken off than have landed or crashed.

Maybe Im a little slow. The ones that took off and did not land or crash.....where exactly are those?
Look up! Don
Lol, ok. Im just trying to clarify. He meant today, not in all time!
Thought maybe Boeing had way more problems with alien abductions than I knew about.
Just sayin'
Still in the air. Not yet on the tarmac or in the ocean.

Just give it a few hours.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
So have many elevator manufacturing companies.

Careful. Being cute is how the EV car thread got poofed.
@Rocky Raab said it perfectly.
I am rooting for Boeing, If I were king for a day, step one would be to gut the executive team and rebuild.
Where I work (A large manufacturing company) Even if it’s not written down, Operations runs the business and Quality (within Ops) has the big seat at the table in Operations. We’re not perfect, but we would never put the stock price above the product or end item customer.
To be honest, I was paraphrasing a report from experts. But I do follow aviation, and this is what I thought, also.
