"Wild Wild West" with Will Smith. I wonder if he got jobs after slapping Chris Rock? I also wonder if he did at a deep discount from his pre-slap prices?

Worst remake of a classic TV show!! IMHO........VERY honest opinion!
You hush. The movie has Selma Hajek. It'll go nicely with "Bandidas".
Oh that reminds me Will was slapping folks way back then, too. He was slapping skins on that woman. If I remember correctly.
Come on guys.....
Everyone knows that the greatest Western movie ever made was.....How The West Was Won......closely followed by.....The Magnificent Seven.......etc....etc....etc.😉😇
This could be a VERY long thread!🤫
Just seen they made another "Bad Boys" so I guess that slap didn't slow up Sir Slap-Alot.
62vld2042 - "How The West Was Won" never seen it. As for the anglofied "Seven Samurai" was okay for a rip-off. I did like the remake of "The Magnificent Seven" more since they went with funny.
Also you guys know I was being sarcastic with Will Smith's "Wild Wild West" being the greatest western, right? But keep on adding on.
Best western IMO is "The Wild Bunch" close second is "Lonesome dove".
Bad Day at Black Rock ranks high.
Hollywood is a cancer on our society.
"Wild Wild West" was a TV series starring Robert Conrad and Ross Martin. Anything else is a cheap imitation wannabee.
I highly agree with Lonesome Dove, along with Silverado as well. Scott Glenn and Kevin Kline were great! Even if Kevin was also in the Wild Wild West remake. Pretty sure he did it soley for the money! 😁
More IMO modern greats include; Quigley Downunder, Monte Walsh, Open Range, and Dances With Wolves.
Those are just a few of the good newer movies I like. The old golden age classics has to include a favored actor; Gary Cooper. How about some High Noon!
Darn! I forgot to mention Tombstone!
I hope you didn’t have to pay with actual money
You need to give “The Hateful 8” a go, it’s a western setting, non pc, offending, and in my warped opinion humorous.
But if foul language offends you, then you might ought to skip. Blazing Saddles it isn’t.
Mule
Hateful Eight should not be watched with ladies and children around and really ought not be watched by anyone.
I like My Name is Nobody, Tombstone, and Mclintock.
I’m trying to estimate how much you would have to pay me to actually watch “wild wild west “. That is genuinely an absolute turd of a movie.
who can name a worse “western?” lol

Wild wild west remake was one of the biggest jokes in cinema history .
Yes, it's on TV almost as much as the Andy Griffith show starring as that Sheriff Andy Taylor 😀, I know each line of each before it's spoken, I believe they both will live forever in re-runs.
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
The Searchers.....has my vote.
And it’s on on Grit channel right now.
$6.50 American. Spent more on worse DVD?
dpmule - "Hateful 8" was okay (supposedly a "priceless" Martin got Belushi-ed). Much better than "Django" silliness. Now had "Color Purple" went that way instead of a musical re-make I might've bought it. No if only I could get a DVD of "Ridiculous 6".
I did catch "Support Your Local Sheriff" and "Support Your Local Gunfighter" last night on the GRIT channel. I had forgotten how funny and entertaining those movies were! Garner & Elam were GREAT together! And Suzanne Pleshette has always been a gal of my fantasies!
I need to dig out my dvd copy of "The Three Amigo's" for some more comical western entertainment!
Yosh, Ridiculous 6 is a big waste of time, ask me how I know.
I hated that movie even before I knew what a jerk Will Smith is. I would never include it in any list of great Westerns. Not even close.
The best IMO only of course: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The Professionals. The Wild Bunch. Once Upon a Time in the West. The Searchers. High Noon.
Forgot the spaghetti movies, Few Dollars More, Hand Full of Dollars. Hard to beat those 2.
Then there is Josie Wales, Hang em High, Joe Kidd
"City Slickers"….another western comedy.
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
"Three Amigos" was pretty good. I always thought Chevy was funny asking if there was any other foods besides Mexican at a table in Mexico.
Butchdog3 - Adam Sandler makes a hit or miss movies but that's Western I haven't seen yet. Also I thought it was a parody of "Hateful 8".
the guy who did the nobody/ trinity movies was almost as big a star as john wayne back in his country, I think he was terrence hill??? did a lot of funny westerns and one of the best fast draw scenes I remember was in a bar as he drew his pistol, them put it back slapped a guy and then drew again pointing the pistol in his face. I know they probubly sped up the film, but he still had to be pretty fast…….
Going just from memory, he had a very smart horse. He'd catch a good nap being pulled along on a drag ( travois) and his horse knew where to take him!
P.S. I had to look up travois. 😉
Weird way to spell The Outlaw Josey Wales.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Sorry. Drain phart. Is it Hosie?
I haven't had a chance to watch Hateful Eight yet.
Bone Tomahawk, on the other hand, is a PTSD simulator.
Gunn, Don't watch it.
From movies, Winchester '73. From TV, Gene Autry Show or Lone Ranger. Maybe The Texan.
Watched it and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. A little better than "Undead or Alive: A Zombedy" a western zombie movie. So the DVD had a director commentary and there I learned he did "Men In Black" movies and "Addams Family" movies. The way folks talked he would be on the streets directing pigeons. Also how they got Kenneth Branagh I'll never know. Then there was Ted Levine heard his voice before recognizing his face under all that make up.
Now I think of it "Jonah Hex" and "Wild Wild West" might make a double feature. If seeing WWW twice is enough for a very long time.
hillbille - Terence Hill is big in the land of macaroni. "My Name Is Nobody" with Henry Fonda was great. Man does love his beans. Come to think about it he finishes a pan of it in every western.
Gunnut358 - "Bone Tomahawk" was an interesting watch. It reminded me of "The 13th Warrior".
Deputy Dawg was a great one.
