Hi,
When I enter my FFL info, to buy a gun, a fee is being added in addition to the tax. This fee is not being collected by my FFL. The seller is not charging shipping or credit card fees. Can anyone tell me what this is about?

@shootuadeal or @Locust Fork can either of you explain this, please?
TIA
It looks like the sales tax is not calculated correctly until after the FFL address is entered. The initial tax was incorrect.
My mistake sorry
No problem. Welcome to the forums. Now that you're here, join in or post up a new topic.
Ok, you evidently got it figured out but I was going to suggest it was the 1% compliance fee Gunbroker charges to offset the expenses they incurred when they became a marketplace facilitator.
GB is becoming the pits! The constant pop-ups are a mess and now GB is charging 1% on each purchase. Hope all sellers know that now we buyers will factor this in and bid less. Just as we do with sites with a buyer's premium.
Should have read the posting guide lines son. This isn't where you come to get your diaper changed.
The 1% surcharge is a "compliance fee." Gunbroker is required to collect and remit sales tax for a number of states. That requirement means extra work and paying extra people to do that work. The states darn sure aren't paying GB to do it, so GB passes the expense along to the buyer.
It is what it is. If a 1% surcharge is too much for you, you don't have to bid.
So like e-Ba?
Good one!!! I cackled loudly at that. You get a promote for that!
