This is a busy place this morning!

I've got gobblers gobblin', Ma & Pa Mallard quackin', Mourning doves cooin', Canadian Gesse honkin', killdeer making whatever noise it is that they make, and last night the Wilson's snipe were whoopin' it up.
This morning while out doing chores I could hear at least 4 Toms gobbling. Hopefully I can get a picture of the Snipes to share. They're elusive little buggers.

Grandparents on my mom's side were livestock farmers while they lived, you never really appreciate that as a kid until you're older. I miss visiting their house and animals.
Sounds like a nice thing to wake up to, honestly. I'm assuming you're a bird livestock raiser as well?
Some chickens.
I have all of the same happening here too but still waiting for the snipe. Love to hear them at night.

Grandma on my mom's side helped develop a love for chickens within me. An attempt at building and populating a home coop was quickly nipped in the bud by the homeowner's association, though. At least we have feral, ownerless chickens roaming about… we can still appreciate those from time to time.
Are you raising for eggs, meat, chicks or some combination of the three?
That's great @NeoBlackdog . Congrats on your lil slice of paradise. Very cool.
Those are reasons why I could never live in town. Some days when walking around the place and see the beauty of nature and hear the sounds, I just have to thank God for allowing me to live where I live.
Just be glad the woodpeckers aren't ringing on your siding or roof.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I had one the day before yesterday, a flicker, that was dingin' the metal siding on the shop. Dumb, dumb birds.
