Hello, I am looking for any information & if possible the value on an inherited shotgun. The only thing I know about it is that it is a James MacNaughton & Sons 12-gauge double barrel "hammerless" shotgun #2974. It's in original case with original accessories. It's a beautiful gun.. I have tried searching online but I know nothing about guns so when I find a s
imilar one, the information I'm reading is like a foreign language I can't understand. (Ejectors, Box-locks, Bar-n-wood?????) If anyone could please help me it would be appreciated greatly.
The pictures aren't great but I am able to take more if need be.

To fully explain the design and function of the shotgun would take a lot of space. There are many books available about the English style field shotguns. They are generally designed to shoot 1 1/8 oz. shot loads. You have a very nice high quality piece. Take good care of it.
