WTB Uncommon 10mm pistols, "1 of 150 DW Razorback", Bren Ten SFD, Springfield Linkless & Omega Match

bambihunterbambihunter Member Posts: 10,765 ✭✭✭

Smith & Wesson (S&W) - 1046

Dan Wesson - Razorback, I want the early pre-CZ "1 of 150" ones. They typically have black grips with red DW logo and will say a number of 150. These are pre-CZ so if your S/N starts with CZ, then they are made much later.

Springfield - Linkless

Springfield - Omega Match (these actually say "Match" on the slide, the NM prefix on most Omega's does NOT stand for National Match as many believe).

Bren Ten - Special Forces Dark (SFD). These are the all blued ones

Any brand 1911 CCO in 10mm

I might be interested in 10mm conversions such as S&W CS40 or Para-Ordinance P16 as well if they are documented with who did what to them.

I am not looking for common items that, when searching GB, will show 20 things such as Glock's, SIG, E.A.A./Tangfoglio etc.

Also looking for these accessories:

Dan Wesson Razorback's early black 1911 grips with the DW logo in red (often called "redeye grips").

Aftermarket barrels for Glock's (20, 29, or 40) to convert the 10mm to .40, or 9x25 Dillon, or .357 Sig.

11 or 15 round magazine for 10mm Smith & Wesson 10xx 3rd gen pistols (S&W).

Star - Mega star 13 round magazine, preferably in Starvel finish, but might buy blued depending on price and condition

    Not asking much is you?

The Glock barrels will be the easiest.

A friend o' mine who bought the 1026 the previous owner (back 10 years) was a one of the Virginia trooper (or was he FBI?) who had/has those mythic magazines. I'll ask the FFL if he's still around. I'd like to know the asking price for them magazines where the regular olds goes for $100 a pop.

It's been 30+ years since the .40S&W mauled the 10mm to die like Hugh Glass so finding those will be difficult/expensive. I wonder how many were turned in for a spiral cut ham for the gun buy backs? I should put the original Novak sights to the gun since the ones on her are also dead.

Say how set are you on the S&W 610 collection? Got both 1-2 and multiple barrel lengths and runs?

    Thanks guys.

I think I'll have to wait on the Glock barrels as I am going to sell my 4th gen G20 (NIB) on here and get a 5th gen. So far there isn't many options.

Yosh, funny you should mention Virginia State Police 1026. That is what mine is. I wanted it because it could be fired with magazine removed (and says so on the slide probably like your friends) like the FBI/police variant of the 1076.

I am not sure on the value on the mags as I haven't seen any sold here. I'd give at least $400 for 15 round S&W 10xx magazine.

The .40 S&W is on its way down and the 10mm is back to its former glory. It took a while for people to realize how capable the 10mm is. There are more made today than there were in the early days. Even S&W brought it back, albeit in their inferior (compared to 10xx) newer M&P line.
One can get the tritium lamps replaced in the S&W sights.

I am not big on revolvers, but I do have a S&W 610. That reminds me that I do need to get some moon clips though.

I have a lot of 10's, including the special ones I mentioned above, but I am a 10mm fanatic. I have several Bren Ten's too, just not the SFD. Thanks for the link Ikannes. That wasn't up when I posted this. He's about $2k too high on his price but I am considering it, I would need to save a bit to hit that mark though.

I don't think the 1026 had the "capable of firing with the magazine removed" (like my 1076) it's easy enough to remove the white plastic dimple in the slide to make that happen. That and the price is why I let that go to dude.

People knew the capability of the 10mm that's why they wanted the 10mm lite/.40S&W and the metallurgy wasn't there. Still want to pop a pig with my scoped 610 but I dread dragging that fat pig out.

Though rare, the 1026 was made with the option and has the markings right on the slide just like the so-called FBI model of the 1076. I've seen a couple sell and so far, they were ALL Virginia State Police and if memory serves, they have a "Special" and VSP marking on the box. Here's a pic of my 1076 and 1026. You can see the "warning - Capable of being fired with magazine removed" on both slides.
