any one in your area that can get them in a new home ?
…had that happen once, called a guy who kept hives and he was happy to come and take 'em…
Hope you were able to save them
Wife and I came home from town our bed room was wal to wall honey bees many thousands of them
We had left the window open the bees swarmed in
I went in looked around just curious, but none of them paid any attention to me
We Went back to town got two of the bug bomb spray cans the nozlewould locked down on
Set them off and closed the door a couple hours later the floor was carpeted along with our bed with dead bees
At the time it was the best and only option , I had to work next day
It was like a sci-fi show walking in among the bees
While hunting years ago, I found a hive in an abandoned farm house. Like @Texas1911DE a local bee keeper was happy to get them.
We have two wild colonies living in trees in our yard, Every year they swarm up like this and then moved on. They are all welcomed on our place…. We put out water for them durning the summer. I am allergic to bee stings, but as they have important work to do, I give them plenty of space. I do enjoy watching and taking pics of them from a distance..
And today they were all gone !!!
Better check all your outbuildings. Years ago, I noticed a 'swarm' tucked into the cedar tree alongside the house. A month later there was a strange sound coming from the bedroom wall. The bees had found a tiny gap in the siding and were busily building a home.
We checked the shop and cellar house… all clear. We will keep an eye out…
Check the outhouse too. You really don’t want them in there!
