My blender and my tape answering machines died.

The Hamilton Beach blender's plastic rotato thing cracked in half. Silly thing must be 10 years older than Disco. Then I saw my answering machine turned off so I thought that's odd. Seems the tape spinner is no longer spinning. So when the call comes in it turns off. Not that anyone calls with frequency.
So I'll go and price some blenders. I won't need one until I make salsa again.

How old is that answering machine?
Is it autographed by Ma Bell ?
LOL
Yosh still has a rotary-dial cell phone…
Hamilton Beach Parts are easily found Company might even have some. Fixed one I've had for 15+ years.
My MIL was paying a warranty on a Rotory phone up until I found out 5 years back Phone was in the back room and never used, but still hooked up. Seems she had been doing so for over 30 year at $1.50 a Month !!! over $500.00. Did they ever get a talking to. It's a Coop Rural Telephone Company,. Threatened to go to the local paper, got her some free service for a few years.
Funny enough you can actually buy those..

I figure the answering machine was from the '90s? The early bit I reckon.
hoosier - I was looking for parts for the blender when I came across the twin for like $75 in much better condition. I also found the Rubber Drive Clutch but mine didn't have the hole in the middle for a screw. Good thing I'm not OCD so I don't have to replace things with the same exact items. I saw a similar working base for like $20. I figure 600 series are pretty much the same? I'll go on looking.
After seeing these vatos I may not buy a blender. 14:14
Still want a Mexican "Wok". Not that I'll ever get to use it. I wonder if I don't use it for cooking I could use it to make noise like those drum pan? Or maybe get a drum pan and use it like a disco?
Got my answering machine running again using a rubber band. You know those thin ones used to keep the green onions in a bunch. I'll look for the 50/55mm o ring to do the real fix.
