They've ruined the whole purpose of Apple Air Tags

I got a new phone not long ago.

The phone has a notification pretty regularly that says…..

"You have a tracking device that is following you"

It goes on to say….."would you like to make it chime"….and you can say YES, which will make the Air Tag chirp.

Then….it goes on to say there are steps you can take to disable the Air Tag.

I understand you don't want these things to be used to stalk people or keep up with when someone is away so you can break into their homes and such.

BUT…..they should have some kind of registery or something that would allow you to use one without it popping up on a person's phone.

If I have them stashed in random gun cases I sure don't want them to set off an alarm in someone's phone if they steal something.

    I agre that's more hocky

Reminds me The old play both sides equels More profit

When I was younger the same company ( I read ) made and sold radar units to the LEO

also made and sold the detectors or fuzzbusters for the public

So upgrade one then upgrade the other in a selling effort to fleese both customers

Your phone is proving to you how indispensable it is.
