I read this this morning and immediately thought about our Mark C.

Never heard of the rock star or any of his bands music, but sure seems like this accidental death from a fall in the shower is a lot more common than I ever suspected!

I would wager countless accidents in the bathtubs/ bathrooms every year some ending in death and ser I us injury

As all on here are aware of

About seven Years back we added a bath room to one of our bed rooms with a walk in shower

my wife said were getting older no steping into or out of a tub and chancing it

I Hate to admit it but my wife is right a lot of times

Ever since I put in a water softener, even our walk in shower gets real slippery!! I had to place a special grip matt down to keep things safe.

Sad deal. I lost an aunt to a fall in a bathtub shower accident. Ruptured a kidney and bled out internally. We're all aware of our own Mr. Christian's passing due to a bathroom slip.

When I was still contracting I'd have folks ask for large format tile on their shower floors and I flat out refused to do it. I insisted on a 2"x2" or smaller tile on the floor just so there would be plenty of grip'em for the feet. I probably lost 4 or 5 jobs over that over the years but never lost a minute of sleep over it. Most folks, once you've explained the reasoning behind the smaller tiles agreed that it would be better than bustin' their skull in the shower.

Sad deal on both counts, heck as I get older I find it extremely scary to just trying to put on pants or socks much less drying off in a wet shower…. be careful everyone.

Ruger4 me, et tu brute! A years ago I had a contractor change one of my bathrooms to a walk in shower where before it was a tub/shower. Standing on one foot is a problem for me anymore let alone with wet feet.

Should've laid down some non slip duck stickers.

Also at least he didn't die from a ham sandwich or on the crapper.
