trouble with putting on socks, mentioned in another thread prompted this. This item was recommended to me by members of the forum. There are several variants, and different manufctr. This is what I got and works as advertised. Hope this helps.

Some mornings it's a Olympic event putting my socks and shoes on
Very close to that point here.
The old benders just don't bend like the use to bend.
…and if I drop something on the floor, I just hope that it was cheap, 'cause it might just stay there.
My wife bought me a "Hip Kit" that contains a long and a short grabber, an extended shoe horn, and one of those sock things. Never could get the sock thing to work right — it needs really loose socks, not the Costco Merino wool ones I wear. The only thing I still use is the long grabber. If I get any stiffer, though, the long shoe horn will definitely come into play.
I have an MRI later this week to see if I need new hip(s).
At my age, some things that are to easily bend don't and things that are not to bend easily do. 😕
Yep, used one for years through two hip, and one knee replacement. Better now so I put it away. But yes, it works well.
