Roy L. Alexander RIP..
We just returned from a trip to Illinois. My Bride's uncle Roy passed away unexpectedly. He was a fine man, kind and never had a bad word for anyone. He was a Viet Nam Veteran, but never talked about it. He used to say that was before.
I found out this weekend he was highly decorated. Three Purple Hearts, the final wound he received ended his time in the military. He also received three Bronze Stars and two Silver Stars.
The letter from his Squad Leader outlined some of the situation he had lived through with Uncle Roy.. It was a moving letter.
He will be greatly missed. We felt especially blessed to have spent a weekend with him a few months ago when he and his wife stayed on the farm with us. He grew up on the farm and it was interesting to hear stories about it…
We lost a good one…… He had a true faith in Jesus and we all know we will see him again one day.

Very sad to hear of the loss of your wife's uncle. He sounds like he was quite a fine man who humbly and bravely served our country to the 9th degree and lived on to lead a good life.
