Kansas has made my top 13
for my funeral mix tape. But not Kansas themselves, after seeing them at 70 and the lead in spandex (from the "Supernatural" ComiCon convention) that was way too much. Gawd I pray I be struck blind before seeing Diamond Dave today in a spandex. Maybe Lita Ford would be okay? The song will be definitely "Wayward Son" covered by a girl/woman. Like in "Supernatural" Fan Fiction the 200th episode.
A durge is also a must to start it off. Throw in Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" as a Rick Roll. I wonder if anyone would know that was a thing?
Ave Maria will be in the mix even though I am not Catholic and I'm leaning towards Sarah Brightman. I know it's already sacrilegious for me to be playing that but to splice in a Rick Roll, doubly bad. It's not like they can send me to Hell twice.
Now for the rest with one Mariachi tune.

One of my wife's favorite movies is "Love Actually" where Liam Neeson's character gives his dear departed wife a send-off of The Bay City Rollers singing "Bye, Bye, Baby". 😲
"Love Actually" great movie. Christmas or just needing to see how people can be. But that song won't be in my funeral mix tape.
Just thought of another one "Wave Of Mutilation" [UK Surf] by The Pixies (the slow jam version). Heard it the first time in the movie "Pump Up The Volume". Might have to watch it this weekend if "Lethal Weapon" season 2 doesn't show up at my door. Why couldn't Damon Wayans get along with Clayne Crawford or just take the stage left and retire? Drama Queen. Season 3 wasn't bad but Stiffler wasn't Clayne. Now had they started with Stiffler I would've been okay with it. I may have to get this one, too.
Lucky4597 - I'm more of a wayward son.
I found the 13th song by The Animals "We Gotta Get Outta This Place". It was a toss up with "Closing Time" by Semisonic maybe I could rent a dive bar for the wake? Hidden track?
While watching "Ted Lasso" I came to this song "Father & Son" by Yusuf (Cat Stevens) I need to add to the 13. Also in this show dude asked his assistant to fetch his "CD" and the 25 year old asked "what's a cd?". I wonder if my mix tape will be used as a coaster? I heard someone had URL code on his headstone and the scanner was able to hear what was on it. I do wonder if this maybe another way but I wonder if I have to keep paying for this service?
