Gunbroker has to collect state sales tax and forward it to the various taxing entities.
I hate it, and Gunbroker hates it, but it has to be, apparently.
Even so, I sometimes get requests to remove an item from the auction and sell it direct, so the buyer can avoid taxes and fees.
I always refuse. Sure it might save a little money, but if everyone were to sell direct on request, Gunbroker would cease to be. Unthinkable.
Rant over.

Dont want to get caught gun broker needs the fees as it was advertised on there site
I accept that the Gov. needs money, but what they do with it after they get it is what gripes me.
Tax rates would be alot lower if they were more efficient.
In this instance, the taxes go to your state, and possibly to your transit authority.
On the Federal level, it takes 70 cents of each tax dollar to cover administrative costs.
Sad part we really own nothing miss a few tax bills see how fast they take your house and land
We have to get permission and or pay for a permit to do just about every thing
Land of the free and independent and owning to no one is long gone
And to think just a few cents tax on tea started the war now more than half of our money goes to taxes
Truly sad days for us
our forefathers would have been up in arms years ago Over the goverment over reach and burden placed on all of us to tax us to death
With a 34 trillion-dollar deficient somebody is goanna have to pay taxes to keep the ole boat a float.
This thread is about state sales tax, and attempts to avoid paying, not to be confused with Federal income tax.
I understand your frustration with customers. Problem is, a lot of state governments and even the federal government being the biggest, are very LIBERAL when it comes to spending other people’s money.
