Do I need a Payment Gateway?

I need to sell a couple of items and came across this payment gateway. Do I need a Payment Gateway? I do have PayPal and did some reading and this site endorses gateway Electronic Transfer (Fast Charge).

I don't really plan on making this a business, just a couple of items to sell and DONE

Once again I'm new to this site and fairly new to firearms in general. I seem to be short on funds and would like to sell some spare ammunition but do not know which are the best sites for doing so. I did see someone's comment that the USPS will not ship ammunition.

    I'm located in Raleigh, NC

Just list it on the auction side after you check and see others pricing. Remember it's heavy and shipping won't be cheap. You can ship FedEX but you need to put a small sticker on the box marking it as small arms ammo.

It's too late for me, save yourself.

List it for sale on Gunbroker auction side, local pick up only.

Post a shameless plug on the forum side. Plenty of folks near Raleigh that might be interested.

Just me but if it's comom caliber ammo i would sell it local or put in add local pick up preferred

But in the past I have sold ammo and even gave away for Christmas for the kids on here.

    just expect high cost shipping

    Any thoughts on this one?

I'm new to this whole process. I've created an account and linked to my Bank. I’m in the process of contacting the Payment Gateway gunbroker.com recommends but have some more Questions. Some of these questions may be stupid but once again I’m new firearms in general.

    When selling an item....

    — Do I charge taxes on the sale?

    — Do I need to create a Merchant Account for tax purposes?

I only plan on selling a little bit of ammo and some magazines and done

    — Does the seller and buyer pay the FFL fee or just the seller?

    — Do I have to ship it to my local FFL and then they ship to the buyer's FFL?

Thank you All for any help you can provide,

    Bernie

    1.No Gunbroker does that

    2. No

    3. No FFL needed for ammo unless you are sending to a state that requires.

    4. No FFL needed on your end . And only send to an FFL if state requires it. Buyer should pay fee IF required.
If that all you are selling might save yourself by selling locally , but your call since you are set up.

No you don’t. Money orders and cashiers checks, personal checks all you really need. IMO

    Sell it locally

It is not required….you can take any form of payment you would like. People get more for items if they take credit cards because there are more bidders in the mix for those items…but its not worth it to do a few sales.
