Hi everyone I recently picked up 16rds of 257 rem brass I can't seem to find anything about them. Like when they were made and if any rifles were made to fire them. I tried to reload them but the brass will not fit in the 257 roberts shell holder. Can anyone help. Thanks

Never heard of specific round called .257 Remington. I am sure there are many companies
that make .257 Roberts, .257 Roberts improved, and .257 Weatherby. Possibly a Weatherby round, Remington might have made a special run for their Classic line of rifles.
Pictures or more details would help, does the case have a belt?
rim types vary so just because it doesn't fit a .257 Roberts shell holder that doesn't mean it isn't. there are 2 different shell holders for the 7mm Mauser (the base for the .257 Roberts).
25 Rem is NOT 257 Roberts.
