Chinese rocket test OOPS

A "private" Chinese rocket company attempted a static fire of their new rocket, but the holddown locks apparently failed and the rocket actually launched. KABOOM
I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Looks like the whole launch pad went up with the rocket! 😲
That's true. They aren't "stranded" since there are several ways they could return to earth.
In the worst case, they'd undock the Starliner capsule empty and attempt to de-orbit it automatically. Doesn't matter much if it fails or not. The two astronauts could stay in the ISS until NASA could send a rescue vehicle, most likely a SpaceX craft with just two pilots and two empty seats. One complication there might be the connections between the two Boeing astronauts' spacesuits and the Dragon. But engineers could come up with an adapter of some sorts, I'm sure.
…that was a Blunder
Made in China a Walmart subsidiary.

That makes me think of Apollo 13 when they were duct taping flashlights and junk together to repair the craft.
The Boeing Starliner is actually an all EV craft. It is just taking a long time to recharge off the solar panels and not blackout the space station.

I'm sure you meant that as a joke.
(There are more than a few of us that think the thing IS a joke, but not a funny one.)
Yep……
Guess they shouldn't have used Chinese steel to hold it down…
Nasa and Brandon might ask/beg/pay (try to buy their over) Rocket Boy and Putin to go fetch them.
Yes it is a joke. An electric space shuttle would make as much sense as an electric jet fighter plane ( or an electric Tank)

It's crazy how the North Korean actually get theirs to splash down in Sea of Japan. I wonder how many are down there making artificial reefs?
