Katie Ledecky and Gabby Thomas..........are Class personified!!😉
The Triathlon Seine sewer swim...........…not so much.🤢🤮
Noooooooooooooooo!
Nope
as I posted in another thread, it just isn't the same to me since they started to let proffesional athletes play. I think they did this back in the lated 80's. basketball and golf just looked like a regular game or golf tournament with exception of a few new faces from the smaller countries and some of the stupid things they now call "sport" such as skateboarding, ping pong and beach volleyball??????????
Same for me.
I agree 100%
Here and there.
I watched the mountain biking, some BMX, and the trap shooting and pistol events. I'd love to see quick draw added to the shooting events.
If I didn't have access to NBC Peacock, I wouldn't have watched anything.

I tried to care less but I just can't.
For the last 30 years I haven’t really watched it. But this year taking these treatments and then ended up in the hospital for a week, when I got home I decided I have watched enough political crap on tv going to watch the Olympics this year. I have really enjoyed a lot of it, trap and skeet shooting, wouldn’t it be something to shoot like that. Boxing was alright, but not like the 1976 Olympics when they had the Spinks brother boxing. Rock climbing I never seen before but was interesting. Some events though like break dancing don’t really make a lot of sense to me, but each to his own. Lol
"I have really enjoyed a lot of it, trap and skeet shooting, wouldn’t it be something to shoot like that."
It definitely would. They were saying the trap shooters take about 1/2 second to sight and fire on a 60mph moving target. Amazing!

I have watched parts of it , track and field, diving etc . Amazing what the gymnasts can do.
I have wached some of it. The diving competition is something else. They dive from the 10 meter platform. 34 feet up. I dove off the 10-meter at the Heart of Atlanta motel a dozen times when I was in high school. If you don't hit just right, you will get hurt! The spins and flips they make, and then a perfect splash-free entrance, unreal.
The diving is spectacular. Girl's beach volleyball is interesting, if the uniforms get any smaller it will be nekid volleyball.
I watched the US girls win gold in soccer yesterday, pretty good game.
I can't understand how break dancing has become an Olympic sport. Bizarre.
The what?
As I eat my meals my wife has to watch it. So I glance up now and then when the screaming gets very noisy. Otherwise, I ignore it.

No.
No... The only thing I'm following online is the young man "the pommel horse guy" on US men's gymnastics team.
"Independence Now, Independence Forever."
John Adams
The other half likes to watch them and says she is supporting them (the USA athletes) even though she wasn't hip on the ceremonies poop show, me I'm only watching the memes that I see on social media…
From the small clips I have sen on YouTube I wonder why some of women's sports events even bother to wear a hankerchief as a suit
I'm waiting on the marble shooting and rope skipping to start, may even watch a little of the hop-scotching. 😀

The wife is, me not so much.
It was a pain in the *, trying to find it on fire stick. When I did find something, they wanted more money to stream it. So I watched an old Steve Reeves Hercules movie…😀
No….. They lost me after the opening ceremony
Me and my son are huge into wrestling so we have been watching that. My 17yo bought a peacock subscription so he could watch all the matches.
Otherwise I have turned the replay on track and field or whatever is on a couple times at night when I come for the night.
watched as much as possible, nothing of the diving, table tennis. enjoyed the badminton matches. lived for the track and field, swimming, and basketball. found the field hockey somewhat interesting, archery also. basketball enjoyed watching the old geezers getting the job done when it mattered. was glad the Russian dopers were banned from competition. Things are a lot cleaner that before. better and quicker testing. respect for the 3 time champion mom from Kenya carrying on the Kenyan legacy for long distance running. beach volleyball-ehhh too much a T&A show. same as women's diving.
My wife said the same thing about the opening ceremonies....…and was going to boycott watching our Olympians.
That thought changed...…when I reminded her....."Don't give the frenchies the satisfaction..…"!!!😠
Summer Olympic events a few I like, but just have not had the time to watch. Between farming and my mother in bad shape more important things to do.
My wife watched it. Not I.
Didn't watch it live but watched it on the news replay, Tom Cruise might've been the best athlete there. My kudos goes out to him…..👍️

Watched little bit at night, BUT
I did not watch any of the BREAK dancing. (nothing surprises me now days)
I went to shop at night when the BREAK dancing came on and painted some boards for a project and then watched the paint dry when the break dancing came on TV. Watching the paint dry at night was more entertaining for me. The paint dried slow at night.
I watched Gunsmoke and Beverly Hillbillies if they were not re-runs that I remembered already seeing.
