Peaks out tonight between 2 and 4 am.

Was a bust here cloudy.
That's my problem. I get the river fog, it almost always rolls in after midnight, visibility is 250 feet if you're lucky.
That would interfere with my nap.
I am headed out a little later tonight…. Rain coming tomorrow so not sure how visibility will be yet..
I missed out. The clouds came rolling in and obscured the view. Did anyone get a chance to see it ?
We got the river fog last night, worse than ever. Visibility 210 feet. However, I can drive 7 miles up Little Pine Rd, it climbs 1,100 feet higher than my house and I bet the river fog doesn't reach up there. Now, will I feel like driving up there at 3 am?
Got to see some. Spectacular as usual.😀
Last night was the peak. They will be visible until 1 September.
Still napping.
I got up at 2:30 last night. I put Coast to Coast on the radio and I drove 7 miles up Little Pine Rd. There wasn't much river fog, but as I was beginning to see a clear, starry sky, the clouds rolled in. I think I saw one shooting star. Might have been a psycho lightning bug. Right now, I am tired I missed my nap.
Also, on the Asheville news and weather at 6 yesterday, the weather girl said we might just see the Northern Lights. We were just on the fringe of Northern Light display. I didn't see any Northern Lights.
I did see the Northern Lights one night in Hamburg Germany, it was really spectacular.
Saw the Aurora one winter in mid-Missouri, but no definition, just a bluish color in the Northern sky. I have never wanted to be in winter where they can be well seen.
