Shipping ammo affordably

I am an FFL in Idaho. I often have occasion to help widowed ladies and ladies whose husbands are struggling with Alzheimer's or dementia. Selling their ammo isn't a problem but shipping it is expensive. What can I do to ship ammo affordably? Some GB consigners say they will ship USPS Priority Mail but I think this is against Postal Service regulations. UPS seems to want a lot…..I don't understand why I can get a case of ammo from across the nation for $19.95 and I costs me $30.00 to send a small box to a neighboring state….What am I missing here? Is there a way I can ship ammo affordably? I'm reaching out to my "Gun Buddies" to give me some direction….Please…..

I have a UPS account. Sign in and get one. It is MUCH cheaper that way and I ONLY SHIP ground. The only thing is they ask if it is batteries and it is not no other questions since it is only ground movement.. They will pick it up or drop off with the already applied label and move on. Never had an issue no matter what others will say.
can't give you any advise on cheaper shipping, but if you sell locally, you can drop the price of shipping plus a few bucks for the work involved and still break even….
There is no affordability anymore, large sellers that ship large amounts everyday get better rates
