Range Day.......
The indoor range I have used the last 10 years is closing in about 2 weeks…. I have made a few runs over there the last couple weeks to hang out with some of the other old farts that haunt the place. Today I ran across a couple buddies doing the same thing as me, using the range while it is still here !!
One of them had the new S&W 2.0 Bodyguard I have been looking for lately. He let me shoot most of a box through it, I was impressed. I shot three different loads through it totaling 30 rds. No FTF or FTE. Accuracy was decent considering the size of the gun. (See target below) I shot at 10 yards the whole time. Some double taps, as well as some off hand and one hand shooting too. So I am still on the hunt for one soon !!!!
Another friend was there today too. He pulled out a beautiful Sig 210, loaded up a mag and handed it to me. Wow what a fine, accurate 9mm. I would buy one, but it was so nice, I would never shoot it !!
I let them both shoot some of my firearms today too. It was a great day, I am going to miss that place !

That range itself is an old friend, and it's always hard to lose a old friend.
Nice shooting.
I just built my own range, but it will only be fun in good weather!
Good shootin'.
I may have to figure out how to do that…
Dont shoot in bad weather!
25 years ago had bulldozer out and built me up a berm, and level ground. 100 yard range with benches. In the winter time I shoot from the bed room or porch window, when the wife is gone. Lol
One great set up, ^^
My neighbor built a 125 yard range with a covered bench that will accommodate 4 shooters. I wired it for fans for him, so guess who has a key to the gate?!?! I can load my ATV with all the gear I need and be shooting in 5 minutes. There are 25, 50, 75, and 100 yard target spots, most with steel on chains. The back stop is a steep hill covered in trees. A thousand year from now, someone will "discover" a lead and brass mine over there!
Another great set up. Wish I had the land to do that.
When building, I positioned the house so the work shop's back door would be at the 100 yd shooting line. Eventually, I made a level path through the trees and dug out the backstop. The shooting bench ($5 at a church yard sale) is on an 8 x 10 covered porch.
