True. Our grandkids are our I. T.s
Sad but true
But progress marches on
My wife helped her 95 year old mother set up her .new laptop today, she can certainly relate ..… the woman has grit, ill give her that.
That's awesome. Good for both.
A few years ago we got a new big screen tv. We are on Directv, the satellite dish. 189 stations and beautiful clear reception.
One day, the damn tv just wouldn't work. We tried everything we knew, no good. However, in two more days girlfriend's daughter was coming up for the weekend. Monica has a degree from Ga. Tech and works with computers at IBM. We hoped Monica could fix our tv.
Monica arrived in the afternoon, we were helping her unload her luggage, her little 9 year old daughter Emily heard me asking ask Monica to please fix the tv. The little 9 year old Yard-Ape scurried into the living room, punched the remote 3 times and the tv was fixed! Nine year old kid. She refused to tell me what she had done to fix the tv.
Lol. Yes sir they do it with ease. They grew up/ growing up with it.
After 40 years in the industry, I hate trying to help anyone over 30, they just cause me more grief, I mostly just say that isn't anything I do anymore, it takes to long to explain and they always believe they know more than me…
Allen, It's usually that the input source has been changed.
We had pics of 2 elderly relatives TV remotes so we could tell them which button to press while on the phone.
The biggest problem was getting them to point the remote at the TV instead of the ceiling (while reading the buttons.)
