It will be a month before we get together, then the pictures and leg work begins.
I'd love to include a small tribute paragraph about Mark in the listings. I don't want to be too lengthy or detailed….but I'd like to detail some history about him and why his collection is notable. Something that will highlight Mark…..just a paragraph or two.
If we can combine what we know about him and get something like that written I'll get the family to approve it and add this to his listings.
If any of you know something I should include in this please share it here…..I'd love to have a proper write up about him to go with his collection.

I am sure you could look a thread about Mark C and get a good bit of info.
I have one of his Garands. Great fellow, just didn't want to get on the wrong side of him.
Lot's of folks still in the "land of misfits". Grins
Mark C. was a tough but fair man, an encyclopedia of Garand facts, helping many to know more about his favorite firearm and giving proper and accurate information on individual Garands to owners that requested his help, he did so with vigor, I am one whom he helped with background and both small and big facts encompassing all on my type 2 late model National Match.
Without his help I would have been hard pressed to gather up all that knowledge without spending many many hours scouring the internet, and, more than likely only getting part of the complete and factual answers that he willingly and happily gave .
He is missed by many, as I do, I am grateful to have had his help, and guidance .

Mark was an expert of the m1. He had the tools to grade the weapons and even showed us how he does it. He graded each weapon fairly, honestly, and consistently. When he'd list an item you knew exactly what you were getting.
With his knowledge and expertise, anything coming from his personal collection is with out doubt best of the best.
just basically put it as coming out of the late Mark Christian And I WOULD put the added outside exposure when you list them. Literally hundreds of people will have a heavy interest in acquiring one or more - imo
It will be nuts
Been gone 2 years now
I think it was Mark C who took a trip to Turkey, years ago. He posted on our forum this picture that he took of a monument there, in which the Turkish Prime Minister expresses sorrow for all the British troops who died in Turkey at the Battle of Gallipoli.
What is so poignant, the British were the enemy of Turkey in WW1.
He had a very interesting life…..all the adventures and never hesitated to change things up when he felt like it.
I'm sure there will be several fantastic things in his sale.
Make sure to let us know when they do go up on auction LF.
