It finally happened.
I saw one of the units went up for "sale". They were working on it for a while. Don't know if the old German lady kicked off in there or not was the reason or they were just updating the kitchen and bath. That's about all they can do to the pig. What's the asking price you wonder? $540K for a two bedroom one bath with a carport parking with a monthly $300 hoa fee. The one next to sold for (I think) $460K? after covid.
Half a mil plus on a unit that needs the roof re-done. There is a growing dent that you can see if you're looking. Maybe that's what they were doing? Jacking up the beam/ply and propping it up? Be fun to know when that half measure comes through the ceiling one night.
I should sell and move in to a Vegas hotel until I kick. Only if I were closer to get my piece of the SS pie.

House up the road 10ac, pond,large 4 bed 2 bath 550.000, I don't get you folks and HOA,s
That's just crazy.
Sounds like it is time to sell, pack up and leave the West coast !!!!!
The house on the corner of our road sold for just under $800k….it has a bit of land, I think 20 acres and a couple ponds….but the house is smaller than ours. I don't think we'd get anywhere near that for our place…..just fixing the nonsense that keeps coming up is our plan. We've been talking about doing a covered wrap around porch at the back so Larry can build an outdoor kitchen. If I get a hot tub in the ordeal I'm all for it.
We bought this house in 1985 for $86k. Our new neighbors bought one with the exact same floor plan and lot size - for just under a half mil. Brick, 3,000 sq ft, three bed three bath, central air and two furnaces, fully finished walkout basement. Quarter-acre lot, fenced.
Yosh, here's your chance to escape from Kali. We're going to be selling a 3 bed, 2 bath, full basement w/ carport on an acre+ in so.w Va. You can have it for 1/2 that 540k. No HOA & taxes are only $70 a month.
Toolman286 - WVA, huh with two baths. Indoor? I kid. Why are you selling? Read what's wrong with it? Not that I need to know. I could really get my Yellow Neck on but upon looking on a map I see it's surrounded by blue states and I assume snow.
It'a West Virginia! How much snow could there be? And, it's not California. That right there's worth twice the price.
Yosh, Sorry that I abbreviated "south west" Virginia. Actually in Bedford County. Yeah, 23 years old and of course it needs a little TLC. We lived there while having our house built and then our best man needed a place to live until he got back on his feet. It's a strong red area with a Trump Store and a Japanese restaurant. So you wouldn't be the only yellow man 😉. Oh, just a little snow.
Sounds really nice
I didn't read it right. The blood clot might've been blocking the so. bit. I see (on the map) the county is near Roanoke. Be cool to solve that unsolved mystery.
Tempting me with a "Japanese" joint. Being Virginia I'd say the Koreans are running that (maybe Vietnamese?). At the end of the day that "is" a move. Too much of an adventure.
Bought my place ,3.5 acres 1800 square ft house in 1999 for 100k. Current appraisal is 256k. Would take about 350 k to replace it .
