Just ordered Starlink internet.....its worth checking into if you haven't
Its been a roller coaster of nonsense here as far as internet service. When this home based business ordeal started we used a Verizon hot spot for our internet. It was a tiny black box that sat in the window of my daughter's bedroom. It was not bad really, but not enough to run more than a few things at one time. Once this thing grew a bit we had no other option than to install a T1 line. That was pricey! It cost $500 per month, but the kicker was that the download speeds were not that much better…..the upload was AMAZING.
The funny thing about the T1 line….one morning someone up the road cut into the fiber optic lines and took out the entire town's internet at the highway. I called Earthlink before I knew what was going on to let them know I didn't have service. Somewhere around 10am this HUGE bucket truck pulled up in the driveway and about 6 men came to the door…wearing tool belts, hard hats, looking like they were READY to handle things. I had to tell them it was a local outage and I didn't know if they could do anything. I thought that had to be the very best "customer service" moment of my life.
So, once they turned on AT&T Uverse on our road…..I was tickled silly to get internet for $100 per month instead of the $500 we were paying. It has "worked" but not very dependable and the price has creeped up to $180 per month over time. My speed test shows 7.5 down/.7 up….so you see it is pretty frustrating.
I'm hearing great things about Starlink. The speeds my friends that have it are amazing…..AND….I called to look into pricing and its a very good deal. The equipment is $299, the monthly service is $120….BUT….if you pay for a year of service the entire cost is $1000, which is a good discount.
So, its set to arrive next month. I'm looking forward to giving my money to Elon and telling AT&T to shut this mess off.

We have had Starlink since last February and are VERY happy with it. I think our cost was $500 for the equipment and then $120/month. Upload and download speeds have been stellar, usually over 100 down and over 60 up. We went from a copper landline system that might, on a good day, get us 2 Mbps download and .1 upload, so the difference has been amazing. We share the system with my sister in law's house 450' away using a wireless bridge and they get the same speeds even going through a couple other components.
Great hope it all works out for you!
I've run a Business from Home. too (well next door now).
I started 20 years a go with a land line (dial up). The copper line stopped jut 100 feet up the Road..
Finally went to Hugesnet that was better and $$$. used that for a few years, slow speeds and no customer service.
Then went up and down the road and got a petition to get DSl on our out of the rural road. Went to two Phone companies, and they were fighting over who could get the service in first. Don't know what took so long, it was just 1/2 mile up at the corner.
Fast forward to 3 years ago WE Got Fiber! I now share the service with House and the Business on different properties, (don't tell the phone company) It's Rural Coop so the Cost is not too bad.
Starlink is a great system. You won't be disappointed. The setup is absolutely trivial.

I find it funny that I'll have all this amazing internet here and all my kids have moved out. If I had a quarter for every time I fussed at them for streaming Youtube videos while I was trying to work I'd have enough to put an in ground pool in the back yard.
Didn't work so well for me, I'm quite a bit further north and that was 3 years ago, so keep us posted. Thank you!
How far north are you? I'm a tick above 48° North latitude and don't have any issues. My dish actually points NE for the best signal.
