Visiting my son this weekend and he got us tickets to The Ohio State game.
While I love college football, the thought of being in a stadium with 100,000+ people is not too appealing to me.
If you take the county that I live in and all but one county that surrounds it, the population does not equal the number of people that will be at the game.
Im sure it will be a great time, just hoping the weather holds and it doesn’t rain too much.

My brother went to the Tech/Georgia game last year, in Atlanta, he said Never Again. The closest you could park, had to walk a mile and a half to the stadium. They wanted to get a chili dog at The Varsity, the most famous hot dog stand in the Southeast US, it was so crowded they couldn't get near the door.

The stadium is a No Smoking place, brother went out of the stadium at half time to smoke a cigar on the street corner. He found that the Ga Tech campus is a NO SMOKING zone. A Ga Tech nerd, probably a Physics major, came up and gave my brother a lecture and threatened to call the campus cops. So, if you're walking down the sidewalk on an Autumn day, and a guy is smoking a cigar on the street corner, you are going to get lung cancer? I don't think so, but, the guy was a Tech nerd.

Brother told him to **** off.

Little did the nerd know my brother has a degree from Tech in Chemical Engineering, and is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Brother said Never Again, I hope your experience is better than his was.

I was at the VA. Tech- GA. Tech game where Lee Courso's car got struck by lightning. When the downpour started, everyone went down to the concourse, which was elbow to elbow. I and mrsdeere got along the wall and worked our way out of there. I was thinking if someone made a loud noise, there would have been people trampled to death.

    Have fun.

My county has 3300 people in it and we went to a Metallica concert in Minneapolis 2 weeks ago that had 107,000 people. Kind of overwhelmed one of our group that doesn't like crowds but she stuck it out. We were also on the floor so it made it worse for her.

Kind of curious about Michigan's home opener tonight as it will be the first time that alcohol will be served. Biggest stadium in the country, full of raucous college football fans. What could go wrong?🤔 Bob

Many years ago I went to a late season Michigan home game. The forecast was maybe rain but I had free tickets so I prepared as only an old country boy would prepare.

Sure enough, it started raining. Out came two large trash bags and some black electrical tape. I stepped into one of the trash bags, pulled the bag up almost to my chest and wrapped the tape around me. I started hearing people laugh at me. Than I pulled out the other trash bag that I had cut a hole in to look out of. I pulled it down over the first bag. They were still laughing.

About then it started pouring!! I'm sitting completely dry as the rain runs off the bill of my hat.

People started yelling "Hey, you got anymore of those trash bags??" Wasn't anyone laughing then!!😁

102,092 in attendance. I was the only one I saw in a key west straw hat 😆
It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
    Close quarters for sure.
Had a couple beers and a couple of buckeye vodka and lemonade in the stadium.

Key West straw hat? You were wasted away again in Margarativille.
