I haven't really watched the pro's in decades but have been an ardent college football fan. This year, with all the conference reshuffle, I haven't really cared about it. We cancelled DirectTV 2 seasons ago and last season we did Hulu so I could see what I wanted to watch, but I'm not going to bother with it this year.
With the monetization of college football, it has been losing the joy of watching players play because they love the game (and in some cases because they can get a free college education), but with all the money going to a few schools, it has largely been the same schools having success. It'll never happen, but I think the NCAA should divide all broadcasting and during game ad revenue across all schools in the division.
