We walked away with 230 lbs of meat. Got it home, filled about 50% of the freezer, so still room for a deer or two this fall. Worked out to just under $3.90 a pound. My bride cooked up an excellent Arm Roast for supper tonight. Cooked with tators, onions. Some fresh sweet corn to go with it too.
Good eating coming our way…. I think I will be grilling up some T-Bones over the weekend !!!

Wow, thats a great price, and 230 on a quarter, that was a big one. Good for you.
Our side of beef is hanging and should get cut up next week. Cant wait to get it.
He was a nice one. Raised by my neighbor and fed out properly.
You are in for some good eating for sure !!
That's like $900 for a quarter beef, that's a good deal. Here at Hy-Vee they had a sale on 85% ground for $ 3.98 a lb. and you get some steaks too.
Steaks, brisket, roasts, ribs and burger……. We are real happy with the purchase..
Did you get the good quarter? I ask because front is chuck and brisket territory. You get the ribs and rib eye on this end. Basically smoking and "good" gathering cuts.
The owner took a half…. the other half was cut up and divided as evenly as possible with a cross section of the whole half to the two parties that shared it.
