I'll be landing at 4:45. Staying a week. Traveling with my friend Sheri. We will have a half day Saturday and all of Sunday and Monday to explore the state.
Anyone have any suggestions for out of starters? We are renting a Jeep Wrangler Sunday morning.

It's a bit of a drive to Flagstaff, but you can see the south rim of the canyon and the painted desert, meteor crater North of Phoenix if I remember, it's been a lot of years…
Be sure to get a Sonora dog from a street vendor
Best carry a water sprayer to douse your self. Dude I just checked the next 10 day and it'll be in the 100 for the next three days and it'll cool down to mid-90s. I reckon you'll loose weight in your week stay and resemble a jerky. Oh that reminds me do try the Carne Seca.
I lived in Phoenix for five years and my favorite place was to go was the Travertine Bridge in Payson. An amazing geologic formation, incredible beauty and a very good hike. All the way down it is like being in cathedral with a soaring ceiling!!
have a look see at old town Scottsdale.

…she didn't take her puter to keep us updated,,what the heck
I'm here. Been in conference. Since yesterday morning. Will be able to start exploring tomorrow afternoon. Been to a local restaurant for lunch yesterday and ate on the rooftop of the Hilton Downtown where I'm staying. Got tickets to the Diamondbacks game tomorrow evening. Headed toward the south rim on Sunday and will explore Sedona along the way.
Outstanding. You're filling your calendar quite nicely. Enjoy, and check in when you can
Hundred and what? I am probably going to the warm place after this. Don't need the heat now.
Earlier today it was a balmy 104.
Headed north on Sunday. High temp diff will be about 30 degrees. Just hope we don't get rained out.
104, too hot for me.
Thats a cool down.
Woo, I pass
You may laugh at the dry heat statement. Back in Missouri earlier in the summer we had temps of 100 to 105 with humidity in the 80-90% range. That was horrendous. Until you have experienced both its hard to understand the difference.
were you able to witness the Cougar/Puma shadow on the Superstition Mountains a couple days ago?
Not sure if it’s visible from downtown Phoenix.

Didn't know it was a thing. Probably wouldn't have been able to see it from the hotel rooftop restaurant.
Make sure you give yourself plenty of time before the Diamondbacks game to enjoy the area around Chase Field. We flew down to see Def Leppard last a few weeks ago and the mile walk from our hotel was one continuous party. Most places had misters along the sidewalk which knocked the temp down a lot.

The dry heat is much better than hot and humid. Lived in Las Vegas for a little while, when it dropped to 100 in the shade it was comfortable.
