Started out with the Men's Study at church. Doing character studies from the Bible this year. Great Food and fellowship. Headed to the gym next and had a decent workout. It is a little more crowded on weekends than I am used to but managed to do all the stations I wanted to hit.

Right after lunch, I jumped on the mower. It was clouding up and a good wind blowing as there is rain expected tonight. I was mostly cutting down the weeds popping up around the yard since it has been pretty dry lately so it looks much better for now…

Crashed out in the basement at the moment. Cooling off and listening to 70's tunes and looking at auctions !!! Taking my Bride out for a pizza later in the evening and then some flick on Hulu…

It has been a good Saturday, how about you…?

Started the day with a short in the electric fence. Fixed that and noted the pasture was getting short.

Repaired a stock water tank valve that I'd noticed leaking a couple days ago.

Son showed up and we ran 4000# of rye through the seed cleaning process, weighed and loaded it into bulk seed boxes for a customer to pickup next week. Put all the stuff back inside and stacked the filled seed boxes in the shed.

Younger Son and his wife showed up to pick up some parts for his Ford 3000 that he's restoring and stayed for lunch. After they left, we moved the goats to a different pasture and got the hot wire working.

Worked on the combine for a while and then Son had to return home to meet a dog buyer and honestly, I'm about pooped out but still have evening chores left to do.😁

About 6'-1" barefoot. Seriously, this torn bicep has me on light duty. This is a work filled time of year and I'm getting behind er and behinder.

The bright side of this drought is the mowing and weed eating has slowed way down. The fishing is about to heat up but I can't hardly cast a line,

5' and 15 3/4" inches and was at 218, but lately added about 20 which is causing gravity to pull me down more. My mother passed away a couple weeks ago and still trying to get things straightened out. Moving hay, working on water system, fencing, tractor AC torn up trying to fix, disc mower down working on, got calves to big on cows and going to try and thin. Got some deals on 2 cycle junk lately and trying to order parts and repair, when buying M-tronic equipment get it cheap as sometime free is not a good deal (all the electronics on everything anymore is very costly to work on.). The bucket list is pretty deep right now.

Took care of the morning chores and then spent around an hour weed wacking an acre or so of thistles. We're too late to spray this year but I've been going down and knocking the blooms off of 'em so they don't spread their nasty little seeds all over and cause more havoc next year.

Cleaning. First the house then a couple of rifles.

Cleaning up stack yard, loaded 15, two year old 4x4x8 ton bales that I gave to guy for his roping and cutting steers.

Spread 10-12 yards of 3/4” crush to fill ruts around horse pens to make a more level walking area for my Bride and her new knee.

Later plan, buck some more mare/colt hay on trailer and then retarp a stack uncovered by last nights 20 minute blow, sounded like a small microburst, guessing wind reached 40++ and then run brush hog up in pasture below my irrigation pasture valves so water will flow quicker to try to get a little bit extra of green up before fall.

I am building a custom cowling on a Cessna 185 for a client. We are replacing the piston engine with a turbine engine. I built the engine mount a few months ago and now the cowling. I really didn’t want to but I have known and worked for Tom for nearly 50 years. He talked me into it so here we go. It will be quite a challenge and I hope I live long enough to finish it.

Saw a ditch, a squirrel, a deer with big ears and a baby, a few elk cows, ravens and red rocks. The past week has been awesome.

Learnt my traffic infraction went off my record since I got as Jury Duty notice in the mail. Then I did the electronic one time postponement thing. We'll see if it sticks. Also I had a very low group number (a 10) back a ways ago the woman I spoke to on postponing via telephone told me about the low group numbers typically were called in. Maybe my new number will be higher for the next one. We'll see for November 25.
