SUCCESS - without me
Or perhaps because I wasn't there. While I sat at home on two different courses of antibiotics, Keflex and doxycycline, my bride Judy and her volunteers ran our 15th Bust Em' cancer shoot today. I did a lot of the grunt work leading up to the event, but sure felt funny sitting at home while others did all the work today.🤒
We had about 15 more shooters than last year and a new company joined our sponsorship roles. Our goal every year is 10,000 and preliminary figures look like we just might hit $15,000 this year! One of our longtime club members called us a couple of days ago and asked if we could use 5 flats of shells for the shooters and then showed up with 6, and saved us almost $600 in expenses. Judy had a thank you sign to post at the sign up table, but he didn't want it posted. Several people just handed her $100 bills and walked away. She says the club looked good and all the shooters had a good time. Some folks have already committed items for our raffle and silent auction for next year, so I guess we are obligated to do it again next year, since things went so well perhaps I should stay home next year too!😁
SW0230, Greg and his wife Marie, sent us enough of his kettle corn to keep everyone happy except me. I sent the whole box over with Judy and there weren't any leftovers for her to bring home! Thanks again, Greg and Marie! Bob

It just dawned on me that I neglected to mention my club that puts up with us disrupting everything;
This was a pic taken from elevation near one corner of our main clays course. It shows our barn, clubhouse, 4 combo skeet/trap fields, and on the right an elevated enclosed 5 stand clays building. We also have a smaller upland clays course and a rifle/pistol range beyond those buildings. This time of year, it can be pretty busy place, so for them to shut down for most of a day to accommodate us is pretty generous! Bob
Well done, congrats to all.
Sorry to hear about you not making it to the event. I hope you are getting better. I will send some more for you and Judy. We are on the road for the next three weeks but have a day here and there off so we will send it out soon.
If you posted earlier, sorry I missed it. I would have kicked in again. Is it too late?
Never too late - I sent you a PM. Bob
What an awesome event. Congrats to all who make it happen.
You may not have been physically present on the day of the event, @BobJudy , but I'm sure you put plenty of time and energy into just getting the event ready to go. That's a good thing you folks are doing.
