How long should you wait for a winning bidder to contact you?

I sold an item 8 days ago. I have sent several emails through GB and by email and have not heard anything back as to any needed info, or payment sent. The bidder has over 1000 positive reviews no neg. So I doubt there is any kind of scam. But seems like a long time for no contact.

To bad about the hold up. Sometimes life happens.

Thanks for the insight. I will give it another week and see what happens. Sometimes things can get held up, but it was an auction not a buy it now. So they were active through the auction. One would think that if a buyer has over 1k positive feed back no neg. that would indicate a conscientious buyer. Its not even an expensive item. 60 bucks. I hate it when a small amount of money causes wasted time. I will post how this plays out. I did send a payment reminder and a note that said do you need anything more to finish this sale.

It seems to me there is a limit to the lengths a seller must go to chase down an unresponsive bidder. At some point you mark him "deadbeat", uh, non paying bidder and move on with the relist. Do report him, there should be consequenses.

I agree, that is a LOT of transactions to suddenly turn into a deadbeat. I bet something is up. Maybe email is going into a spam folder, maybe they went into the hospital, etc.

I'd personally call them to rule out the email situation but I'd give them the 2 weeks. If it was a NR bidder, then I don't have much patience.
