Why is it that nothing surprises me any more.

But, but I thought ARs were plastic and aluminum.
how do you make a clickable link ?
Fascinating story. Cops raided a medical facility, thinking it was a pot grow operation. It wasn't. One dummy cop walked near the MRI machine and the giant magnet sucked the rifle from his hand. Er ist einer Dummkopf!
Weird I can't make a clickable link. Post "KTLA mri officer rifle marijuana" on google and the story will come up.
The cop wanted his AR back, so he slammed on the SHUT OFF switch which caused thousands of dollars damage to the machine. He snuck out of the facility leaving a loaded magazine on the floor.
Aluminum barrels don’t survive a mag dump.

Good gosh
Why would someone hit the emergency stop? At that point it was likely obvious it was not a grow facility and they weren't in danger. Talk with the MRI operator about shutting it off. It likely ruined the imaging being done at the time anyway.
They used to give a demonstration at the facility my wife used to work at, they took a belt a showed how strong the pull was on the buckle.
austin20 - I kind a wanna watch "House" for the MRI mis-haps. I recall a lead slug in the dome that bust the machine (there is no wat the slug had that much iron). Ant there was a Glock near the machine that would make the image "starburst" (I would've thought it would've did the AR thing).. And I thing there was another (at least).
