Eye shots

Had one in each eye yesterday, have had them for about seven years every four or five weeks. Not a joyride, but keeps one from going blind. They have the procedure down to a science, thinking about it is the worst part.

I have been getting eye injections for 3+ years for retinal swelling. My doctor recently advised changing the medication to VABYSMO. This has extended the time to ten weeks and last check was NO swelling. If that continues the interval will be even longer than ten weeks. Good luck.

I used to suffer quite often with iritis, which is a painful inflammation of the iris. In 50% of the cases, no cause is ever found and I fell in that 50%. The steroid drops had very little effect so the doc would give me a steroid shot in the eye. I asked him one day, "don't steroids cause cataracts"? His answer was " Yupp, it is job security for ophthalmologists ". That was 20 years ago and yes I have had one cataract done and am due for the other.😡 Bob
