Paul Harrell guns for sale on GB?

sxsnufsxsnuf Member Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭✭

I might be too techno-challenged to find it in a search, but couldn't see any threads relating to the late Paul Harrell.

It's come to my attention that a GB seller is selling some firearms that they claim belonged to Paul.

I have no reason to doubt the provenance of these guns, but there is no mention of any letters of authenticity, the photos are amateurish, the descriptions are paragraphs about Paul and nothing about the guns themselves.

It would seem they're being sold as just another used gun which, without documentation, is exactly what they are.

Has anybody else looked at them?

I should add, if it doesn't get me in trouble with the mods, the seller is Lincolncitysportinggoods.

So far you're good to go. You've been here long enough to know flat out rant, complaint is not allowed. You did not do that, thank you.

Looking through some of the listings of the seller you note I don't see a alarm. I'm no expert on what guns Paul had or not. Many guns are sold with a story, some with paper work, some with authenticated paper work. As you stated guns with stories, and questionable paper work is just another used gun.

Always, buyer beware. Ask question of seller. If you really suspect fraud, report to auction side support.

Hopefully, someone with knowledge of Paul Harrell's collection will chime in.

I don't have reason to suspect fraud. I was in the seller's brick n mortar store a couple weeks ago, when I first got wind that they might be auctioning off some of Paul's collection. Nice shop, good folks, no red flags, so to speak.

II'm just puzzled by the seeming lack of effort to get the maximum return to Paul's estate. He had nearly 1.5 million followers on YT, so I would think there would be a greater interest in his collection. Even a note from his brother, attached to the sale, would increase the value of each piece. Or, maybe not?

Just read a comment on the channel about items being auctioned. I'm obviously too late to see any of the listings. Didn't know Paul personally, but a follower of the channel for couple of years, and deeply regret missing the chance to meet Mr. Harrell when he and the crew visited Rickreall. Paul seemed to be a humble guy and likely didn't want the name attached to the pieces, who knows? do you remember what pieces were listed. ? I doubt any of the iconic pieces would be sold off because they would have been important to family. e.g. model 15, 10/22, beretta 92fs, and that kickass Winchester 1897. it looks like the marlin .22 was listed at one point.

    Welcome to the forums @gundam48

I don't recall what the guns were. However here is a link to the sellers current listings. Through one of the listings you could make contact with the seller and ask them questions directly. Hope this helps.
