Got a call from my daughter to go check her place on the river. She has an old house trailer that serves as a recreational spot. There are about 15 similar properties along that section. Hers is the highest above the river.
The water was flowing in the access road so we drove along the railroad tracks. Some of the houses and trailers were already inundated.
Her trailer was still 4 feet above the water but the river is still rising.

Wow, I hope it pulls through ok. Sounds like lots of folks already have a big mess to look forward to. The flip side of that is, unless there are humans or animals in peril, why the need to call/ go check in the middle of the night?
Wow, I hope she gets through without damage. I heard the river was supposed to crest at 21 ft. Bet that trailer park in Narrows (across from the Burger King) is going to be hurting. That place is very low and very close.
Good that her place is safe (for now) 👍️. Many don't realize railroad tracks give good smooth rides, back when I did a lot of motorcycling I'd jump between the tracks and let'er rip, the cross ties were spaced just right making it as smooth or smoother than many paved roads. Troopers didn't even bother trying 😛, I could get off anywhere, woods, swamps, open fields, intersections/crossings……clean get-a-way 😀

Reached many a fishing spot on the river like that. Was better as kids when you wouldn’t get in any real trouble.
Glad it's safe at this time, best wishes it stays that way.
River is going down. Daughter's place is one of only 4 dwellings that aren't inundated. We were lucky.
