Decided not to wait any longer, took a large doe for the freezer, went about 30 yards, heart exploded. Cant hardly pull the bow back at 82, might be my last.

Good job. Congrats to you. Feels good to have meat in the freezer.
Good work, good eats. If it is your last, it should be tender and tasty.
82 ? ……………………….. that's an old doe. 😁
How many great, great grand does does that make her from the first you got???
Shhhh, Joe it is his first...
Awesome good for you. Congratulations
You’re my hero. If I can still be out in the woods hunting (especially bow-hunting) and dragging out deer at 82, I’ll be thrilled. Well done, sir!
Congratulations………. I am in awe of your success !!!!
Congrats on the deer and I hope you get to harvest several more
We have several rabbit sheriffs from all over the state helping with Helene aftermath.
Asked about taking a deer if we need food, reply, most likely be ok. He did not favor the thought of harvesting a bear though.
I was lucky didnt have to drag, it ran close to a woods road where I could pick it up with my tractor bucket. Other wise Ive got a good neighbor that I can call for help if I need it. With a new knee my dragging days are history.
Good on you dude!
JimmyJack - Get a truck with a grill guard for some fender meat. I'd get something without air bags but that's just me. Also a booming cherry picker on the bed for picking up said meat. Might also look in to a winch?
yummy
