Burned a hole in my wallet today.

Stopped by my favorite LGS today, and didn't leave empty-handed for a change. Picked up a Ruger Super Wrangler. 6.5" barrel, .22LR and .22 Mag cylinders. Midnight Blue and brass Cerakote for a finish. I dig the contrast. Feels good in the hand. Decent weight, a bit muzzle-heavy, and holds more like a centerfire. Looks like the same sights as a Blackhawk, and takes the same stocks.
Haven't taken it to the range yet, but I'm sure looking forward to it. $285, and seems like a quality piece for the price. If it looks a bit shiny in the pics, I guess old habits die hard, because I wiped it down with oil.

Wow, that's a nice one!
That's pretty. Congrat.
Make sure and give us a range report when you get a chance to hit the range !😀
Very nice. I have not seen that color combo on them before. Gives it a great look.
Looking good!
Really nice Ruger. Enjoy
Looks like it will be a fun gun to shoot. Congratulations.
Considering the prices on guns today (witness the ads on the right!) that's a pretty small burned hole.
Ya done good.
You definitely got a smoking deal. Plus a very nice revolver
Cant go wrong with Ruger.
Thanks, everyone. I'm pretty happy with it. Tomorrow I'm going to grab a couple boxes of .22 mag ammo and head for the range. Zero experience with that round, I hate to say, but that will change shortly. Checking out prices online on the ammo right now. Oofdah.
Well, is a loud one…. So wear those ear plugs.
Made it to the range. As usual, the first thing I meant to grab on the way out the door was the last thing I forgot, a camera. Didn't take my bench this time, just a little informal plinking. Sighted in pretty much dead on at 25 yards from the factory, it would appear. I honestly had a hard time missing smaller improv targets like pop cans, etc. I was pleasantly surprised. The .22 mag is pretty snappy in a short barrel. Sounds more like a .38 than a .22 rimfire. Functioning was flawless, and the trigger pull is nothing that needs improvement to be usable. Loaded rounds, even LR, dropped right in the chambers without needing a nudge. The empties dropped right out with the slightest bump from the ejector.
I did set up a regular target with bullseye at 25, but maybe it's for the best I didn't remember the camera. The groups weren't the best, but it was 100% my fault. I was shaking like a wildcat poopin' peach seeds. Maybe I should lay off the coffee, or stick to rifles and benchrests?🤣
Sounds like a good outing and you did well. I feel if you can hit within a 8 inch circle your good to go. That's still a full face full, or in upper torso. Multiple holes is ok with me. Ymmv
