Local gun shop is owned by CMMG. Every year they have a couple big sales where you can buy their Blem guns and parts as well as other new firearms and accessories. This year they are having it at their private range and there will be a full auto shoot where you can buy a magazine of ammo to fire through their firearms.. I have shot other full auto firearms in the past but am hoping they have a Thompson or MP5 available. Should be an interesting day….

    Looks like a good time!

There's an outfit around here that does a MG shoot. One of the guns they have is a Dillon Aero. I did the math and $100 worth of ammo would last right at .92 seconds… Brrrtttt! Gone.

Hadn't heard of that. Sounds like someplace I'd like to go but not really interested in the MG shooting.

Years ago, the agency I worked for was invited to the CMMG plant but I couldn't fit the invite into my schedule.🤔

I really liked the M-60 MG when I was in the Army. Thankfully, my experience was all non combat.

Not really an AR guy, I mean I only own one, and never heard of that company, though I have shopped in that town (just after the glaciers melted), but I would admire to buy you breakfast on the way. Won't be back there until the last Oct. Weekend.

A Thompson or MP5 would be fun, I think, but only if you had a lot of ammo (and cash) to burn. If you have the means, though, go crazy! Some experiences are worth it!

    Have fun

I was lucky enought to waste ammo thru several full autos fun oh yes big time the belt fed were amazing would like the chance at a mini gun but 6k rounds a minute that's way out of my pay scale LOL

Cost of the ammo we wasted not so much

but some times in life we just have to have fun and the rare chances do not come by that often so go for it

have fun and good luck on picking up some new toys

Looking forward to eyeing what is on sale. CMMG makes the Banshee and Resolute platforms. Both are excellent as far as I am concerned. I checked the list of possible firearms and they do have an MP-5 but no Thompson. I guess they even have a Ma Duce !

I have shot full auto in the past when I worked with and around different LEO agencies. This will be the first time I have to buy the ammo !!!

Started the day out early at the Men's Book study group. Great eats, study and fellowship, caught up with all the guys before taking care of some different things around town. Headed out and had an interesting time at the range event today…. I fired a Sig MP5. I purchased a 20 rd magazine for 20 bucks. I got to do the MP slap and then fired the first three rounds on semi-auto to get a feel for it. Flipped it over to full auto and shot three and four round strings until empty. Nice, controllable little firearm. I spent the next half hour or so watching others shoot the other available full auto firearms.

I enjoyed watching a 10 or so year old young man settle in behind a Ma Duce mounted on a tripod and fire a 10rd belt. They settled him in and a range officer sat in behind him and the young man fired two in SA before doing two four round strings. He had a great grin on him face when he got up.

I hit the sales area after and looked over some Banshees in various calibers. Nothing flipped my switch… I did buy some magazines. They had totes full of all sorts of mags. I found three slightly used Sig 320 21rd mags for 10 bucks each ! Wish they had more of those…

All in all it was a fun time. Ran into several folks I knew and enjoyed the morning…. Hope you all had a good one too…

got in a local golf tournament where they played the course backwards, They had put temporary tees next to the greens and you hit back up the fairway to the last green. Lot of weird lies having to come into greens from the backside, over trees, ect. still all said at end of day had a great time, few to many beers and came in second, great day…….

Good for you @hillbille! The last time I came in 2nd in a competitive sporting event, there were only two of us playing. 😁
