Lucky. Free acid trip, man. Still wanna see them in person but I don't wanna be in Alaska/Iceland in snow.
I drove out into the hay field to get these with the camera on my phone. I got home from St. Joe in time to get a few pics and just enjoy the show.
It figures. After 10 straight days of crystal blue skies, the first night that we had a chance to see both the aurora AND the new comet — was cloudy.
Where's the new comet?
My wife got a few pictures of the lights but they weren't as nice as what Warbirds and Susie got.
I was looking for aurora on youtube. While there there is a woman who goes by Aurora a singer popped up. After seeing a few interview and videos I'm wondering if the radiation from the aurora borealis is bad for you? You be the judge. I would post the one where she's talking about being a super hero but… maybe it's her accent?

The comet can be seen about 45 minutes after sunset, to the right of Venus. If you live in a dark enough place, it may be visible to the naked eye. Binos for sure. It'll be visible for about another week.
Great pics you guys and gals, thanks for sharing.
