We have more than our share of cats Did I mention I use to not like cats

We have a asortment of Wonder in dropped off even feral cats not counting found and rescued and two mom cats that showed up a couple of years ago I will guess tossed out or drop off in the area we live in the country

but both donated a litter of 4 each with in a week or two of showing up . Oh joy

We do have all the cats fixed ASAP

Any way about two weeks ago we lost "Fuzz" a dark long haired mix he pass away ,

he was about 13 yrs old , that's how long we had him . once up on a time he was just a very young cat that was hanging around

a bit wild well. My wife made budies with him over several weeks, she loves all animinals and he became a big baby In short order

we were Sad To se him go . And burred him in our pet cemetery .

But as luck or the cat gods would have it few days after his death

a new lighter almost cream color long hair "Fuzz 2 " really just a lighter verson of the one we lost showed up and made him self at home with the wifes help

Looks were destined to be a cat 🐈 😻 haven

And yes over the years I slowly got to tolerate them and slowly started to like them .proof I am loosing my mind LOL

No not losing your mind. I had so many dogs growing up I lost count. As I have gotten older I like cats more. We have one now about 16 years old. The reason I likes cats more now is for their independence.

When I had dogs it was constant up keep with them and I did not mind as I was young and had the time, now I move slower so everything takes more time and I don’t have the energy to keep up a dog.

Here he is he likes to take naps on legs with them up on the foot stool. He stays so long my legs fall asleep.

Day-um those are some fat cats. Super surprised the orange tabby got up there. I imagine just stepping into the litter box poops him out. If the cat could talk why he pooped right next to the litter box. I can imagine him explaining "I tried to get in but the lip of the litter box was just too high, sorry dude, got you next time". Also I can see him tipping the litter out when he steps on the box lip. Dude I tried to get in and the box just lifts up that scared me and litter was raining everywhere. You should be happy I'm a cool cat other wise you'd be talking to a lawyer.

We happen to have one of the neighbor's barn cats that took up residence at our place. Guess what? she had 5 babies shortly. We were able to get them to PAWS who fixed them and placed them in good homes. By the time that happened, mom was preggo again so we couldn't get her fixed at that time.

Well guess what? She had 6 babies this time. Been trying to get her them to PWAS to get spay/neuter for babies and mom. They try to get a date every month with a local vet to do these, at no cost to us. The September date was too soon for the kittens, and they were too little to spend a couple days without mom. Been waiting to hear from PAWS this month, but haven't heard anything yet.

So last week a vet tech we know was able to get us a soon date to get mom spayed as I thought she might be pregnant again. So yesterday I took her to the vet and spent $355.00 to get her fixed and a rabies shot. Luckily she was not pregnant.

If any of you folks need more cats, I'm your man. I'm not a cat person but a Bullmastiff person. My wife has 8 indoor cats and about 20 outdoor cats living in their cat houses on my deck. No, my wife isn't driving me crazy, I'm already there.

It's too late for me, save yourself.

2 indoor only cats here. And Kimber dog. That's enough for us.

We have 3 dogs and one indoor cat. The biggest headache I've encountered is figuring out how to keep one of those 3 dogs out of Mr. Cats litterbox!! 😫

For some reasons dogs consider the cat box as a special treat but will snub a lot of dog food .

I remember reading a long time ago about it, but it's way common for dogs to love cat dropings It's been many years so I don't remember all the reasons

maye it had something to do with the minerals ?

    Yosh

Not sure, but dogs love the stuff

And I will just have to accept their opinion .

No way would I try it for a tase test

We had one of dogs a vet years ago a exray had the doc confused said there loks like some granular stuff in his stomach

I said I bet it's cat litter as he raids the cat box after thinking on what we had fed him and what it may be

(But He lived to be 15 yrs old and passed a few years ago .)

any way the vet laughed and said that makes sense dogs do love to eat cat poop

You and your wife are great folks for taking care of so many critters over the years. Thanks for that. @Ditch-Runner

    We must have similar wifes

I rather not go into how many cats we have way too many .

we even put up a metal garden shead last spring full of cat beds using blankets and asorted pet carriers and totes so they have a lot of choices

Even lights and a heater for the winter

We have Several plus out buildings but most of the cats want to be close to the house.

    oh joy LOL

The only reason Martha is not an indoor cat is family members with the same issue !!

I have a shorty Jack Russell named Trump. His arch enemies are squirrels and cats. Some of the neighbors have free roaming cats but they leaned quickly or the hard way to stay out of our fence.
