7up Shirley Temple

yoshmysteryoshmyster Member Posts: 21,858 ✭✭✭✭

New flavor I came across yesterday while at Lucky supermarket. It's way more drinkable than that "Haunted Apple" Fanta but I'm not sure if I like it. It's not Cherry 7up or really taste the pomegranate. It is muted in flavor and sugariness? Maybe it just needs vodka?

I wonder who'll bring our Roy Rogers?

Adding vodka would make it a "Dirty Shirley" as a kid in the 60's we would enjoy the Shirley made with ginger ale or the Roy with Coke.

Dirty Shirley, huh? And not Naughty or Mickey-ed Shirley? Anyways I think it's growing on me.

Canada Dry "Ginger" Ale (more like flavor?) with Cranberry is the good stuff. Used to like the "Bold" (the extra ginger flavor) but that's been gone for a while now.

Canada Dry still uses real ginger, at least. Not just some artificial flavor like Seagram's does. I seldom drink more than one soda a week, but when I do, it's Canada Dry Ginger Ale.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

I suppose less than 2% ginger "extract" (doing my math of less than 2% is 1%?) is still technically made with can be used? Seagram's does suck at least it's wet.
