12 gauge load pressures

I had someone tell me a 1962 Belgium Browning superposed can't handle "the higher pressure loads of today's performance cartridges". I think the man must think these are Damascus barrels but just to be sure I'm asking here.
Has SAAMI pressure on shotgun shells changed significantly in 60 years?
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

I have a 1943 Browning A5 that handles modern loads just fine. At least it did until I lost it in that boating accident.
The SAAMI standards have not changed and your shotgun should be safe with any 2 3/4 inch shotgun shell. That is my opinion and not backed-up by expert knowledge.
That Browning is made better than todays guns.
maybe he was referring the the "new" 3" magnums everyone now has to use for turkey hunting……….standard hunting loads should work just fine
I shot hundreds of modern 2-3/4 loads out of a 1927 Ithaca side by side.
