Im not very familiar with Thune, but im mitch is out. Hopefully Thune will actually be a conservative and not a rino!
IMHO Thune is not the best choice, he has been very supportive of the turtle and has spoke harshly of Trump.
What I thought was scary was "Bipartisan Safer Communities Act" Leader & TX Senator Cornyn was a close second. Cornyn is a supporter of gun control. TX needs to oust him in 2026 primary.
IMHO Rand Paul or Mike Lee would be awesome. Lets hope Thune gets behind the MAGA movement.
Agree completely with @chiefr I think they could have been a better choice, but certainly not that RINO Cornyn.
