Did anybody make scalloped oysters for thanksgiving?

Growing up my mother made scalloped oysters every year for thanksgiving. She only made them once a year and everyone loved them. Since her passing I have not had them and I look in every restaurant for them and nobody has them .

That brings back memories… My maternal grandmother used to make that every year for Thanksgiving also. She had been gone for over 35 years, I might have to go through her old recipe book and see if she had the information written down in there !
Not scalloped oysters, but mom used to make a great oyster stuffing. A little went in the bird plus a big baking dish full cooked separate. I'm going to have to dig up that recipe for nostalgia and my sudden craving for it. Bob
Had some oyster dressing for Thanksgiving. It stays good for a second day however gets strong tasting after that.
I was introduced to Scalloped Oysters by my grandfather's-by-marriage family in Fleming County, Kentucky. My grandmother and mother made them and now my wife does. However, most of our family group does not eat them and we no longer take them to family dinners. I love 'em.
Had oyster dressing, yummy. Seems like there is very little difference in scalloped and "stuffin"
Never heard of it. Looked it up and meh. I think oyster stuffing with the corn bread mix is for me. Say what region is that famous in?
I was originally from upstate New York and I have no idea if there is any regional thing for scalloped oysters. I have friends from around the world in different countries that make them. I sure do miss my mom’s cooking,
Different parts of the world makes this? Another thing America has to apologize for. Unleashing Fast Food and now this. I kid. This can't be a French recipe. Maybe English in origin that started out with hardtack instead of crackers.
Pretty sure it must go back at least to those poor starving Pilgrims who lived right on the coast.
