Anybody know what color blue was used for painting military practice bombs, shells, ect. I have a 100 lb practice bomb that someone painted green before I got it and I would like to restore it to blue with white stencil letters.

I don't know the color, but you sure jarred a good memory for me. When I was a kid dad got an old surplus practice bomb. It was about 3-4 feet long. Dad partially filled it with sand and hung it on our (public playground rated) swing set. You sat on it side saddle style. So many hours of fun on that.
Sorry for getting off track.
Here they just call it 'Powder Blue'
WWII M382A PRACTICE BOMB
Two different blues for two different roles.
Deep Saxe Blue=practice.
Oxford blue=drill.
Thanks for the tips . The swing sounds like a cool idea.
nato blue?
Be careful! This is a very deep rabbit hole! 😉
I just went to the hardware store and got the best match I could from the rattle can selection for my 100 pound and 250 pound bombs. No body has ever called me on it.

These guys are the best you can get (in my opinion) for military vehicles. Yes, I painted my military vehicles with the latex house paint they talk about.
