Mine has to be First Blood.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

A Christmas Story ————————-Ray
Got a late start this year. I put on "Trading Places" yesterday. I forgot how stunning Jamie Lee Curtis' boob looked back then. Now mind you I'm not into skinny chick but for her I may have made an exceptions. Also I don't like her voice either. Ball gag will be used. Any how Dan Aykroyd was in "Black Face" (forgot that, too). Djibouti, djibouti hai!!! I don't care funny is funny. Say did Dan apologize like Justin Trudeau? They're both Canadian, right? Maybe Dan is loved and Justin isn't. Kind a curious if that train bit is edited if it's shown?
I heard on Clay and Buck how Gen. Z-ers never seen "Die Hard". I can't imagine that. Figure their parents had to have grown up on "Die Hard" every Christmas. I have to ask my Tehas bro about his kids if they watched "Die Hard". Do me a favor and ask your Gen. Z-ers in your family if they watched "Die Hard" 1 & 2 being a Christmas movie along with the first "Lethal Weapon".
I think I'll put another Eddie Murphy Christmas movie to follow up on "Trading Places", "Coming To America" where brothers "Duke" are living in hard time.
My wife and I started the tradition many years ago of watching the Adams Family movies (With Raul Julia, Angelica Houston, and Christina Ricci). Occasionally we watch the 1991 around Thanksgiving and the Addams Family Values around Christmas. The 3rd one, even as a die-hard fan, it was nearly unbearable. Hardly none of the original cast members were in it even and if memory serves, it was straight to VHS.
Wait. There's more than one? More than just Ralphie and the Red Ryder?
This Boomer has never seen Die Hard, either. Don't plan to.
Clint Eastwood or Charles Bronson marathon
bambihunter - There was a third one? What's it called?
diehard
"Addams Family Reunion" which came out in 1998. If memory serves, only one actor from the original cast came back (Lurch).
There was also an animated pair from 2019 and 2 came out in 2021 that wer cute, but oriented more at the kid-friendly audience and thus lost some of its more adult themed innuendos that made the first one in particular so memorial. I LOVED some of Angelica Houston's quote's from the first one. My wife and I still use them periodically. (one instance in the link below, particularly at the 1 minute mark)
I quite enjoyed the Wednesday series that premiered in 2022 though it strayed quite far from the original Addams Family lineage and their choice for Gomez Addams that was so expertly portrayed by the late Raul Julia was instead played by Luis Guzmán which was a horrible fit.
Morticia and Gomez Addams interaction
Rare Exports Santa can't always be good.
"Addams Family Reunion" never heard of it. Almost sounds like those "TV Movies". I see that it was. I did get the "recent" cartoons. I wish I can find the original cast tv movies and the tv cartoons on DVD.
She was only 14.
Satire, just satire.
The Christmas Card
How about the Home Alone movies?
New In Town (Renee Zellweger, Harry Connick). Romantic comedy with some pretty hilarious dialogue. Set in MN but filmed in Canada because there wasn't enough snow here.
The video of our four grand kids opening the box with their first puppy in it. Mocha lived to be 14 and the kids are in their 30's now but forever young in the video.
Just watched "Violent Night". You'll know why Santa wears red. Think Santa as McClane in "Die Hard 1&2", a bit of "Home Alone" all wrapped up in a dysfunctional family gathering.
