Still alive but barely --------------Ray
Made it back from Kent's Store, Virginia Friday night. This was my 5th trip since mid May. Finally got the place cleaned up after abandoning for over two years to take care of my sweetheart Diane. I took care of her for six years and the last two were hell on earth. We were so lucky to have each other for 59 years. I am very proud that Diane never spent a day in a nursing home and both my children were by her side when she passed away.
I buried my little dog Max who passed in 08 under a Dogwood tree on the back corner of my three acres. I could not stand to bury him in the Communist State of NY. Beginning of year I had 6,000+ miles on my truck and now have over 24,000. Tomorrow, I am out of warranty on my Ram. As i understand it the 5.7L will be no more.
My little Willie Jr. is my salvation. He loves his Pa. so much. He sleeps all the way from Virginia and only wakes up once when I get gas in Ravine, Pa.
I blew out the pipes/pump last Thursday and stripped everything out of the deep well. Heather and my SIL will reinvent the wheel. They will extend well casing and fill in well house with dirt. He has a tractor with backhoe and will dig a trench down hill to the house and keep shallow well for a backup. My greatest joy will be when we get our houses sold and we will be together in Kent's Store, Virginia and out of NY State.
I will probably just lurk for a while as I have some health issues. I really ran myself in the ground these past six months. I am scheduled to have the Hernia operated on January 8th. I am so sorry for not keeping you folks informed and will try to do better. Will try to post some pictures of the doings in Kents Store and little Willie Jr.————————————Ray

Great to see ya stop by Ray. Glad to see you're hanging in there, and that Willie Jr is in top form. Don't get yourself so run down you can't get back up.

Look what the cat drug back in… Glad to hear from you and WJ and hope your surgery goes well in a few weeks, take care of yourself and post when you can.
It’s been a while, good to see your posting again. Sounds like you’re keeping busy working on projects, that’s good, you don’t want to become idle. Don’t worry about the hernia operation, there pretty routine anymore, I had one done 30 years ago, three days later I was up and around with no problem, just couldn’t lift over 10 pounds for a couple weeks.
Had a water line break between the house and well couple years ago, involved a lot of digging but, but all good now. More proof the wheel can be re-invented. lol
Glad to hear from you. Take care of yourself and Willie Jr.
A picture of Diane my bride of 59 years and Willie Sr. Diane passed away two years ago today and Willie Sr. three months later.————-Ray
Hernia: I have been able to sleep since mid May with this Hernia as it recedes back about half hour after I lay down to sleep at night and in the am it takes about same for it to pop out darn near one half size of baseball.
First time at 3:30 am this morning it was still popped out and hard as a rock. Needless to say it was a ten on the pain scale. I got up and leaned back in the recliner and after quite a while was able to massage it back in my abdomen. I have been able to tolerate the pain all day. Was thinking about a large pillow between my legs tonight to keep Hernia from being squeezed as I sleep on my right side. None of the real bad symptoms so far.
At what point does this thing become emergency surgery? Or, I guess I should say at what point does ER or EMS folks call the pain an emergency? I don't want to rock the boat and get pushed to another surgeon in an emergency. Surgeon was carefully chosen as he is Expert in minimally invasive surgery especially Hernias. Operation is scheduled for Jan.8th but I don't have date for EKG and Blood Work yet. Any advice or tips greatly appreciated. ————————Ray
Whoever said what doesn't kill us make us stronger never had a hernia.
