Not fire and brimstone but close. San Francisco is 250 miles south of us.

13 inches here in Lassen at 5200 ft. and still falling….
y'all get some extremes from one end of the chart to the other.
Had some weather here in Monterey Bay on Saturday. The power went out about 0700 and didn't come back on until Sunday at 1700. Glad this state is going all electric on janky pg&e's old grid. Went out to see how bad it was about 1000 after sitting for like 3 hours without power. Driving in high wind in the Safari was bracing. Seaside looked dark so I went to Monterey. They had power. I guess they have a better pg&e grid? Bought couple of bagels and went back.
Sat around for a bit and I figured the power wasn't gonna come back on so I went to Salinas for Chinese food cooked by actual Chinese. Didn't buy much since I had short ribs marinating in new marinade recipe. Still no power so I went to bed at 1900.
Sunday woke up to no power. Dragged out the grill so I could at least cook up the marinating short ribs. At least no wind to ash up my ribs. The mango Pepsi Korean marinade was good. I remember seeing a woman making marinade with Coke so I gave it a try. Since I had grated pear in the marinade why not? I need to buy a blender. Hand grating a pear nd half an onion was a chore. The recipe called for a whole onion but half was work! Next time.
So the power came back 1700. 34 hours later. Thanks pg&e.
We're 213 east as the Cessna flies, and I think that's way too close.
